1. Tell us a little about what you’ve been working on since your time at AMUA
As soon as I graduated in December, I got hired in Knoxville to do a short film titled “Inside Out” and that launched my business to the next level. I was able to meet a lot of people and have been busy doing films every other weekend. I also got to work on two films for the Knoxville 54 Hour Film Festival and was extremely blessed to take home the Best Special Effects Award and be nominated for Best Makeup for both films I worked on. I also achieved a goal of getting to work on an episode of Investigation Discovery’s HOMICIDE HUNTER
2. What’s your dream?
My dream I think is already unfolding, it’s been very hard but I feel like I am finally getting to the very exciting beginning of my journey. I would also love to work with Doug Jones.
3. What advice would you give to a new aspiring makeup artist?
Don’t give up and work your absolute hardest. Nobody is going to hand you what you want, and it’s so much more rewarding to achieve it yourself! Going through the Special Effects course at the AMUA was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made and now I get to do my therapy as a career.
