As we wrap up the semester and prepare for graduation and summer break, we want to congratulate our students on a job well done. This semester was jam-packed with outside productions (some were larger than life!) on top of all the required school projects our students must complete to graduate or continue on to their next semester. Can you believe we’re starting the last month of classes for Spring 2023??

Ways to finish this semester strong!

We encourage our students to keep the momentum going and finish this semester strong! Especially our graduating students who are working on their final projects. Here are a few ways to stay on top of everything for the last bit of the semester and be successful moving forward!

  1. Stay organized: Keeping track of assignments and deadlines is essential to finishing the semester strong. Use a planner or a digital calendar to stay on top of your responsibilities. Staying organized will also help you avoid feeling overwhelmed and stressed.
  2. Seek help when needed: Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you struggle with a particular project. Our instructors are all here to help you succeed, so take full advantage of it!
  3. Prioritize self-care: Taking care of your physical and mental health is crucial to success. Make sure to get enough sleep, exercise regularly, and eat a healthy diet. Take breaks when needed and prioritize activities that help you relax and recharge!

What was in the Shop

All the incredible work done this semester is in big part thanks to our Nashville community for spreading our name and our students’ great work ethic! And, of course, the constant determination and hard work put in by our students and instructors. Below is everything our students and instructors have worked on for our Spring 2023 semester!

  • Belmont’s Beauty and the Beast
  • Hazel Green High School’s Little Shop of Horrors
  • Mongomery Bell Academy’s Julius Ceasar
  • Studio Ten’s Smoke on the Mountain
  • Belmont’s film Cuts
  • Harpeth Hall’s Annie
  • Independent film Legends of Lake Hallow
  • The Webb School’s Radium Girls

Standing ovation for each and every student who worked on these projects. From in the shop building wigs and prosthetics to getting to set and watching it all come together. Well done!
