We love hearing what alumni have been up to since they graduated from AMUA because they end up doing really amazing things! Here is a snapshot of a graduate and her job.

I was already building my career prior to enrolling at AMUA, but I didn’t feel like I was a true professional without schooling. I noticed that sometimes when I told clients I didn’t have a certification, they would get uneasy. I wanted a formal education so I could confidently say, “I am a professional makeup artist.” By joining AMUA, I now have credentials under my belt. AMUA also helped me build my website, which definitely makes me look and feel professional. After graduating from AMUA, I worked in Nashville on commercial sets and I believe I was able to get those jobs because of my AMUA background. Since then, I’ve focused on my bridal career and having the credentials makes my clients more confident of my professionalism. Elizabeth Wolf Makeup Artist

Elizabeth Wolf started pursuing her bridal make up career. She says: “Since I left AMUA, I left my job to pursue my makeup career full time. I jumped around doing some different production gigs but ultimately decided to focus on my bridal business I already had.

In 2018 I added makeup artists to my team and 2019 will be my first year with both hair & makeup artists. Now I have a full on bridal beauty team and business that I own and manage. There are only 5 main team members yet we are continuing to grow and expand. I need to hire about 4 more girls this year and will probably have a team of 10-15 by 2020! We are on schedule to do 60 weddings this year.”

Elizabeth completed the Makeup for Beauty & Fashion program at AMUA.
