For 26 years IMATS Battle of the Brushes has been challenging students and recent graduates to go above and beyond to create incredible makeup looks. We've had a busy month here at AMUA. Our students are halfway through their semesters and have wrapped up yet another project. We're happy to say they all made it through their midpoint evaluations! Today we are sharing Carson Pack's story, who just won a special effects makeup competition in Atlanta last week. Carson tells us, "After graduating from the special-effects program in December (2018), I set my sights on moving to the “Hollywood of the South”- Atlanta, Georgia. I was already building my career prior to enrolling at AMUA, but I didn’t feel like I was a true professional without schooling. I noticed that sometimes when I told clients I didn’t have a certification, they would get uneasy.
