We’re sharing Tess DePotter’s story today, who is working on building her freelance business.
“Since graduating AMUA (Beauty & Fashion program) in February I’ve been working at Starbucks part-time, but mostly focusing on building my freelance business. I’ve booked a few photo shoots, prom makeup jobs, and weddings!
For the last two weeks though, my time has mostly been consumed with assisting Mackenzie Barnett (a graduate of the Beauty & Fashion Program and the Special Effects Program) on the set of feature film God Country. We’ve been all over middle Tennessee filming for the last ten days!
On set, we do a lot of “no makeup” makeup, SFX makeup, and then maintain it during the filming. It has been so fun to watch the script come to life and to be a part of the behind the scenes.”
Tess completed the Beauty & Fashion Program at AMUA. She is joining the Special Effects Program this year!
