Happy Birthday to us! We passed an exciting mile marker on November 10th as The Academy of Make Up Arts turned 10 years old! A decade ago we opened our doors thanks to the authorization of the Tennessee Higher Education Commission Division of Postsecondary Schools. Our first program was a 4-week study of beauty makeup and basic special effects makeup. Today we offer everything from week-long summer camps to diploma courses lasting up to 3 years! Seeking Designs for Mural Wall

Academy of Make Up Arts is seeking a few good artists to help brighten up the lobby with a mural, and is offering cash prizes.  We are holding a contest to select a mural that will be painted on the left entry wall of our lobby. This is a highly trafficked space visible to students and visitors of AMUA.  Submissions in every form of two dimensional media are encouraged—such as painting, photography, graphic design, printmaking, and drawing.
