So much has happened during our summer break, as well as our first week back to class! We'll do our best to fit it all into one newsletter, so come see what we've been up to! Summer Camps Campers joined us from all over Tennessee (and a few from farther away) to learn the ins and outs of special effects makeup. It's hard to believe we're halfway through another semester here at AMUA! Time flies when you're learning all things film and theatre. Our students enjoyed a spring break and came back refreshed and ready to finish the semester strong! AMUA Alumni Take Over the Big Apple

We're so proud to announce that five from our Tribe have made their way to New York City! Not only that but they're fully booked up! Look out, Big Apple, here we come! Morgan Morgan Gilmore took our complete track with Advanced Makeup, Art of Wig and Hair Design, and Special Effects and completed the programs in December of 2018. AMUA Special Effects Makeup Headlines Tennessee Performing Arts Center Event

AMUA Special Effects Makeup Program Director, Ben Rittenhouse and program alumni Colter Wilson and Faith McLane, were featured at the Art of Special Effects Makeup event held at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center alongside other area Makeup artists. The AMUA team transformed Nashville Ballet dancer, Nicolas Scheuer, into an Underworld-inspired vampire in front of a packed theater audience of local and regional professionals.
