The USITT Conference, an annual trade show, brings together learning opportunities and vendors from all aspects of live performance. Founded in 1960, USITT promotes research and information for theatre professionals. The Academy of Make Up Arts is thrilled to share the expertise of Special Effect Program Director and Emmy Award winning Ben Rittenhouse and The Art of Wig and Hair Design Program Director Michael Meyer in this makeup demonstration.
Watch Ben and Michael transform an actor and demonstrate the same techniques they teach our students at AMUA. These techniques include character weathering, scarring with 3-D transfers, and hand laying a beard.
