Madame Butterfly appeared on stage at the Nashville Opera on October 19-20, and we are proud to say that AMUA alumni and current students worked together behind the scenes of the production! Japanese geisha Cio-Cio-San, Butterfly, abandons her faith and family for the dashing American sailor, Lieutenant Pinkerton. But Pinkerton's love is temporary and Butterfly's happiness, short-lived. In the end, Cio-Cio-San pays the ultimate price for her selfless devotion.
