Mimi Palazon: Wig & Hair Department Head

With a remarkable career spanning over 25 years, Mimi has left an indelible mark on the world of hair and wig creation. Her transformative work has graced iconic productions such as “The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance,” “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” “The Shape of Water,” and even “The Grinch.” Now, as part of our dream team, Mimi’s here to share her secrets, creativity, and attention to detail with all of us. Get ready to level up your skills because with Mimi leading the way, there’s no limit to what we can achieve!

Lori Gann-Smith: Costume Department Head

With over two decades of costume design under her belt, Lori’s here to lead the way for AMUAs new costume department. From “Elf” to “Shakespeare in Love,” she’s dressed the stars in style and left audiences speechless! As our guiding light in the realm of costuming, Lori’s here to weave her magic and show us the ropes. Get ready for some hands-on learning and a whole lot of fun! 

Henry Higginbotham: Drawing Instructor

With a Master of Fine Arts degree and a creative repertoire that’s as diverse as it is impressive, Henry’s artistic journey is like a wild ride through the realms of imagination! He’s done everything from neo-primitive art to sculpting and everything in between. From designing art for Dungeons & Dragons to Magic: The Gathering, Henry has done it all. So get ready to draw your way to greatness.

Sophia Goss: Marketing Coordinator and Portfolio Development Instructor

With a bachelor’s degree in communications and a flair for sharing stories that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat, Sophia is here to help us craft our narratives and showcase our talents.
