Our students work incredibly hard in class and on all of the productions we’re a part of. It’s the dedication of our instructors and students that keep these outside productions going! We work hard for all of these excellent opportunities. If work ethic was measured in luck, we’d be the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark: Lighting Workshop | June 2-3

Led by our photography instructor, Chuck Arland, this workshop will be very hands-on! You’ll learn how and when to use a flash, proper light placement and patterns, and how to use a light meter properly.

 

Movie Magic Makeup Camp | June 5-9

Foundations of Makeup Summer Intensive | June 12-16

Kickstart your career as a pro makeup artist with this summer intensive. Learn the basics of beauty makeup and walk away with a pro makeup kit!

 

Blood and Gore Workshop | July 10-14

This Blood & Gore FX Summer Workshop is graphic and not appropriate for all ages! Students will learn how to create realistic horror effects like zombie bites and slit-throats using a blood rig.

In the Studio – Students at Work!

    • Our wardrobe students are helping with costumes on The Webb School’s production of Radium Girls.

    • We’re building all the Audreys for Hazel Green High School’s production of Little Shop of Horrors! LilahJazlynTyler, and Alden are in the shop sculpting and making moulds as we speak.

    • Three AMUA Alumni, Karlee, Makenzie, and Lily, are currently working on a short film in Nashville called Shallow Grave.
    • Smoke on the Mountain with Studio Tenn has Jade styling and running wigs for shows starting March 23rd. Get your tickets here!
    • Julius Ceasar at Montgomery Bell Academy wrapped on February 26th. Our costuming students jumped on board and embellished and altered costumes! Caroline and Jazlyn ran wigs and helped with costumes backstage, with wigs styled by Caroline, Jade, and Olivia.
