Jennifer Ortiz is a graduate of the Academy of Make Up Arts Special Effects and Fashion programs as well as The Art of Wig and Hair Design Program. Within the past year, she’s assisted in the wig department of the Nashville Opera’s adaptation “Susannah.” Over the summer, Jennifer had the opportunity to do an internship in Saratoga Springs, New York working in the Wig and Makeup department for the Saratoga Springs 2018 Summer Program, which included the four operas “Merry Widow,” “Rockinghorse,” “Consul,” and “Vikensport.”
Jennifer tells us, “I was able to get a more in-depth of the technical aspect of getting a show ready. As well as working in a fast pace environment that included a large cast. In the coming months ahead, I’m preparing to be on the road again working on more opera projects.”
